Biblical and patristic doctrine of the essence of the priesthood: Vasily Popular

This publication is a master’s thesis of the outstanding Vasily Ilyich of Esteplya, which is the experience of revealing the Orthodox dogmatic teaching of the priesthood of the Christian Church. In this work, V. Ekvrachlya, who first published in Kyiv, in 1904, found coverage of the following fundamental issues: the high priestly ministry of Christ the Savior (Chapter 1), the Almighty of the members of the Christ Church (Chapter 3), the relationship of pastors and passenia (chapter 4), Christian pastoral in his attitude to the high priesthood of the Savior (Chapter 5), the Hospital of the Savior, the Hospital. Church as a special gift of grace of the Holy Spirit (Chapter 6). The author offers a harmonious system of church teaching on the issue of priesthood (which is one of the key in all dogmatic theology) on the basis of a thorough study of the original sources.
