The book contains Russian translations of the last three significant philosophical texts of the outstanding philosopher and church figure of the XV century. Nikolai Kuzansky (1401-1464), created by him in Rome in the last years of his life. These include a treaty of “compensation” (end. 1463), as well as the dialogs “Hunt for wisdom” (Kon. 1462 – early 1463) and “On the top of contemplation” (April 1464). Summing up the results of their many years of philosophical searches, Nikolai Kuzansky in all three works sets out his new vision of the Absolute Primary as an unlimited possibility: “Possibility” (Possest) in “Hunting for wisdom” or “I can” (Posse) in the works of compensation and the top of contemplation.
The book is intended for students and graduate students of the humanitarian specialties of higher educational institutions, philosophers, theologians, as well as a wide range of readers interested in the history of European intellectual and spiritual culture.
