The fate of the famous Kyrgyz politician and public figure Felix Kulov is inseparable from the dramatic and fierce history of the formation of independent Kyrgyzstan. Important turns in the fate of the “People’s General” Kulov coincided with the turning points of the history of his country: he put things in order in the capital during the Osh massacre, led the defense of Bishkek in August 1991, pacified the crowds of pogroms during the “Tulip Revolution” of March 2005. The path from the ordinary Operad to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, of course, was not simple and smooth: there were arrests, prisons, colony in the life of Felix Kulov, but there were also ups to the tops of the political career. The author tells about the steep turns of his fate in detail and frankly.
The book will be interesting to political scientists, experts in the Central Asian region, historians, journalists, as well as a wide range of readers.
