The manual discusses the main directions of the teacher’s work on the implementation of the requirements of the new educational standard when studying the “surrounding world” course in the elementary school: teaching schoolchildren accessible ways to cognition the world (observations, experiments and experiments, modeling), comparison, classification, and abilities to identify causal relations. The issues of the formation of some personal and meta -subject competencies among schoolchildren are also addressed.
The final section indicates how to draw up a summary of the lesson oriented to the new educational standard.
