The guidebook tells about the palace and park ensembles of the five suburbs of St. Petersburg-Gatchina, Oranienbaum, Peterhof, Pavlovsk, Tsarskoye Selo. They are rightly called the pearl necklace of the northern capital of Russia.
Of the six suburbs of St. Petersburg, included in 1990 in the UNESCO World Heritage List under No. 540, there are about five (there are no Strelna). All of them are recognized as the masterpieces of the human creative genius, unique and illustrate a significant period in human history.
